I will try and post a full review later, but for now, after 4 weeks of use, Resperate is working great for me. I was skeptical at first, but there were lots of good reviews on Amazon.com. Anyway, here are a few sample blood pressure readings:

Before after Resperate use

142/86 131/78

143/84 132/80

139/85 125/81

127/80 110/73

My only problem is that my BP reductions are not yet sustained. At the peak of the day, my BP can still rise to an unacceptable 140+/90+ or so. I hope that after another 4 weeks of Resperate use I will have an all day reduction in BP. I currently use Resperate every day. My BP is never high at home or on the weekends, only at work and in the Doctors office. Therefore, I use Resperate three times per day during the work week, once in the morning at my desk just before work starts, once at lunch time to knock my BP down, and once in the evening at home. I use the default time of 15 minutes, and my BPM usually drops below 10 within 1 minute. I also use it once per day on the weekends.

Besides temporarily lower my BP, I have noticed other benefits. I can now "feel" when I am getting stressed out and my BP is rising, so I can try and relax myself by breathing, or at other times by grabbing the Resperate and using it. I have noticed that I sleep better, with more dreams, and the dreams seem to be more vivid. My thinking is more clear and I am able to focus on tasks better, as well as get them done quicker. I think there are some other benefits as well, but I am not sure yet.

Also, it should be noted that I am not on any BP medication at the moment, and that is what I am trying to avoid. But I am also trying herbs, and have always exercised at least 5 times/week. I also watch my diet and avoid salt/salty foods.

I really appreciate that InterCure has taken the time and resources to develop a non-drug approach to treating high blood pressure. I will gladly use this product the rest of my life as long as the benefits of its use continue. I wish that Western medicine would put more research and effort into non-drug therapies for treating high blood pressure.

In summary, I really like the Resperate device, and I hope that I can see a sustained reduction in BP within the next month or so. I will update or post new information later.

I never had a severe problem. My blood pressure readings were usually in the 130s, but sometimes were as high as 150/90, which alarmed me. I never took medication for high blood pressure, and my doctor was not upset because I never showed consistent high blood pressure. Nevertheless, in addition to a blood pressure situation which I found worrisome and which would not improve with age (I am now 75 years old), I found myself to be unusually out-of-breath sometimes when exercising. I was intrigued that Resperate lowers blood pressure with breathing exercises which also benefit breathlessness. Now, after 6 months of use, I can say that I definitely do not have any high blood pressure problem, with readings consistently in the 120s or lower, and also an improvement in my shortness of breath problem.

I note that the manufacturer of Resperate makes no claim with respect to any additional benefits of the breathing exercises presented to lower blood pressure. However, I wish they would research this issue. Older people generally suffer from a decline in lung function, and some degree of obstruction long before it is severe enough to be classified as COPD. I think Resperate should not only be presented as a benefit to blood pressure, but also as a benefit to healthy lung function.
