The doctor told me that I would be on blood pressure medicine the rest of my life. I just couldn't accept that! That stuff made me feel heavy as a rock! Was this getting well? I don't think so... I was doing all the things they reccommended: no smoking, no drinking, excercise, change diet to organic fruits and veggies, colon cleansing, ion cleansing, accupuncture, tai chi, psychological counseling, and even spiritual enlightenment, but the pressure would go down slightly, then back up again. I saw Resperate, and ordered it! I read this article on how a research study evidenced that a sample of African American males, who were directed to meditate, had significant blood pressure decreases, than their male counterparts, with lifestyle and diet change. So I figured there was some type of association with proper breathing and blood pressure control. As soon as I used it for a week or so I had a significant decrease in blood pressure... from 150/97 to 128/87! I set my timer on 30 minutes instead of 15, and disciplined my breathing to get my bpm down as low as I could, following the music (about 2.5-3.5 bpm)! I think the other regimens. i.e.excercise, diet change(esp.low sodium and fat), accupunture, cleansing, assisted in making Resperate even more effective. My accupuncturist loved the product so much he had one in his office the next time I saw him. Now, he has me use it during his treatments. He took my blood pressure after the last treatment, when I was deeply relaxed, and it was temporarily as low as 105/68! The accupunturist also directed me to concentrate more on breathing through the stomach, instead of the upper chest. Stomach breathing is how we breathed as infants. Thanks for having the guts to create such an effective innovation!

Thank you for sharing your experience with RESPeRATE! It sounds like you are using RESPeRATE very effectively.

It's important to point out to all users that the key to RESpeRATE is effortless breathing. The goal is to lower your breathing to less than 10 breaths per minute (BPM), following RESPeRATE's guiding tones, but then only to go as low as is comfortable for you. If you are breathing without effort and without holding your breath at 3.5 BPM, then that's fine. But many people are not comfortable at that level, so in that case it is counterproductive as it may be less effective in lowering blood pressure. If breathing ever becomes uncomfortable, simply stop following the guiding tones and breathe naturally. Within a few breaths, RESPeRATE will readjust to your level and begin guiding you again.

Many healthcare professionals including cardiologists, primary care physicians, accupuncturists and biofeedback therapists are utilizing RESPeRATE in their practices and recommending it to their patients. If you would like to share clinical information about RESPeRATE with your healthcare professional, we would be happy to mail you a package of information that you can pass on.

Much too soon to fully endorse the biofeedback machine. Only have had it a few days. Discovered Resperate on Dr. Andrew Weil's emailouts as a sponsor/advertiser. This got my attention. Let's give it a try. Dr. Weil has been advocating breathing exercises for some time so perhaps Resperate can offer the discipline and guidance to get into the pattern and get results. I trust Dr. Weil like few others. A scientist who practices what he preaches.

One session I took my B.P. first, used Resperate 15 minutes. The B.P. was a full 20 points less (higher and lower number) afterwards. WOW! I know once isn't enough. I am eager to get on with the program.
