First off, I want to say that I do not work for InterCure and all opinions expressed are my own.
With that being said, it seems like you are trying too hard to make Resperate work. Let me tell you what I do, and then you can try it out on your own, if you want. I do Resperate once a day for 15 minutes. What I do is breathe in through my nose, and with my lips pursed, I exhale through my mouth. The exhalation is very slow and relaxed. I try not to think of anything at all. I treat Resperate as if I were meditating, quieting the mind. I focus on nothing but my breathing. I have been doing this for about 3 weeks now and prior to using Resperate my blood pressure was an average of 145/85. I now get an average reading of 124/70. I hope this helps. |

How can I be "trying too hard" when my numbers and goals are exactly what the company preaches and little results. Obviously to achieve these numbers I would have to be relaxed and calm. I do appreciate your time however. |

How can I be "trying too hard" when my numbers and goals are exactly what the company preaches and little results. Obviously to achieve these numbers I would have to be relaxed and calm. I do appreciate your time however. I gave up using Resperate as it was having no effect and I think I was too focused on the numbers and getting'good'results. I was probably competing with the machine which meant concentrating on the tones to make sure the breathing was in sync, breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth (pursed lips and all). On the odd time that I was probably totally relaxed and just went with my own breathing, the voice would interupt and tell me "breathe in....breathe out". The bottom line is that I was probably not relaxed when using the machine. I think the deep breathing can help you relax and lower BP, at least for a while, and now i basically do the exercises without the machine, breathing slowly and moderately deeply (probably about 6 or 7 bpm but I do not count them). It is having some impact as my systolic numbers have reduced from the high 130s to around 130. Hope this is of some help. |

Dear Al,
You hit the nail on the head. We deal with customer calls all day everyday. The outcome is almost always the same. The people are "concentrating" too hard and want the RESPeRATE to work that they often sabatoge their progress! Results will come, rest assured, as long as you are using it properly. Patience is as important at relaxation. The first few sessions should be and could be about technique. Once you get an understanding about the RESPeRATE, then the next step is to relax...meaning keep your eyes closed, not on the screen. I was glad and sad to read your posting and the postings of so many others using this device. I have looked into it and read a lot. I am glad I did not put out the $300 for a device that does not work. Sounded too good to be true, anyway! And if it sounds too good to be true.....back to meds, phooey.
I have been using this device, with 98% recognition and over 86% breathing accuracy for 3 months. I have not seen any reduction in blood pressure whatsoever. I average 42-45 minutes per week. I AVG 11.7 BPM before using machine, 6.1 while using machine. Below 5 makes limbs numb. About 3-4 10-15 minute sessions per week.
I have tried 10 minute sessions, but they do not work. I have tried 15 minutes sessions, they do not work. I have tried 20 minute sessions, but get really, really bored and often watch the clock to see where I am. For $300 and an extremely limited return policy, there was little/no benefit from this device. Sure, they say it is "user error" or something else, but if you read these posts, few people have enjoyed any sustained drop in BP. I do not see how they advertise coming off medicine with this device - very dangerous advertisement. I actually have had my BP INCREASE since using this device (especially right after using it) as have many others if you read all the posts. You can meet or beat all their stats and still get zero benefit other than a few minutes of relaxation - which cannot hurt. Granted, the tones get old after 3 months, regardless if there are 4 to choose from. 2 of the tones are aggravating and I do not EVER use. All things being said, it serves to let me relax, but DOES NOT do anything for my BP. I keep it around only because I dropped $320 on it. I would not recommend the device other than to relax you on a plane if you hyperventilate. IF YOU HAVE SIMILAR ISSUES, PLEASE RESPOND. |

OliviasGram,
It's a shame that you are not giving the RESPeRATE the fair shot that it deserves. When used properly, the RESPeRATE has an extremely high success rate. As someone else posted in here at one time, it's easier to post a negative experience than a positive one. The people that post in here usually end up following the tips that are given to them and end up with postive results! The RESPeRATE has been through 8 published clinical studies as well as hundreds of other independent studies. The RESPeRATE is not meant to replace your medications, but there certainly are people that have used it in conjunction with and have been able to have their doctors either reduce or wean them off. (each person is different. Always consult with your doctor before making any adjustments to your medication) To many, $300.00 for the RESPeRATE is nothing compared to the feeling of finally having their blood pressure under control!
