I was thinking the other day of this seti project thing, where thousands of computers around the world are working on SETI data. The thought occurred to me that something similar could be done with resperate. If there was software, that somehow interfaced with resperate then the BP information and usage from thousands of users around the world could be feed to central computer, analyzed, and patterns found. It also be interesting to have persons capture adverse events, heart attacks, strokes, and so on. The idea would be to show not only that resperate lowers BP but that it prevents adverse CV events.
To be useful, it also be necessary for the resperate machine to be able to capture BP readings, even if the user just had to type them in some fashion. As a side benefit such software could also graph a person's blood pressure progress, and provide analysis of how benefits vary with usage and many other interesting things. The software could amongst things, based on one's age, and readings, provide risk measures of adverse events and make suggestions on life style changes, and when to see a doctor for further treatments. |
