Hello :

I've been using slow breathing to try and relax. Seems to achieve that only in part. I've not yet purchased my Resperate , as my major concern is rapid pulse and insomnia rather than high blood pressure per se.

I've used slower breathing by timing it myself. I can readily get to 7-8 breath/minute. Even down to 6. It does help me relax often , though when I'm stressed that could sometimes feel strained.

It seems that I have "White Coat Rapid Pulse" -if such a term even exists--as well as White Coat Hypertension

I can readily slow my breath down to ~7breaths /minute. Sometimes even 6. But not sure I'm doing this in an effortless way.

I tend to have a rapid pulse rate upon awakening from dreams and at the doctor's office. Can reach as high as 140 breaths/minute in doctor's office. Quickly normalizes when I leave the office and get home. Pulse is never is elevated except in these two situations. So it seems there might be a "white coat" effect here? Noticed same a few times with blood pressure as well. First reading too high. Second one a few minutes later at same visit was perfectly normal.

Questions:

1) Any studies, reports or user experience with Reperate for preventing those brief spikes of heart rate?

2) Has this technique been useful for Rapid Pulse, both in doctors office and on sudden waking from dreams?

Thanks

Ira

Hmm, we are looking into the development of a Resperate to help aid people with sleep disorders. Send me a message so we can discuss this.
