As a long ago headset user I note a design error in the wiring of the Reperate device. I find the wire connection between the left headphone crossing over to the right side of the unit base to be clumbersome. Why? Because I position the unit in my lap to access both the digital display information and the mode controls. With my recommended reversal of the head set wire i.e., with the wire leaving the right ear phone to the right side of the unit direct access to the unit is more open. Or to put it another way, there is less wiring to get in the way. Given the distinction between the "R" and "L" headphones there does not appear to be a remedy for the user to faciliate such a change.

George/Loomis, Here is a fairly simple solution to get you headset wire over to the left side of the device: Just unplug the audio cable, run the wire from left to right through the storage hole and reconnect the plug into its socket - now both wires will be coming out of the left side vs. one right and one left.
