Can this device qualify for reimbursement under flexible/medical spending accounts (cafeteria plans)?

Yes, absolutely. You may use flex spending to purchase the RESPeRATE device. We have many customers that have done so.

Yes, absolutely. You may use flex spending to purchase the RESPeRATE device. We have many customers that have done so. Marguerite (IMG:http://forum.resperate.com/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) For the past 6 years, I am suffering from high blood pressure. My doctor keeps increasing the dosage of drugs (Diovan 160Mg and Atenol 50Mg daily). Still there is no change in my blood pressure. Hence I am thinking of Resperate. I understand that Resperate is approved by FDA for OTC sales and is eligible as reimbursement expense under FSA program. A doctors prescription is not required for the same. However, my insurance company(AETNA) requires a Doctor's Note of Medical Necessity in-order to approve the FSA claim. Unfortunately my doctor will not provide the Note of Medical Necessity to purchase Resperate! Please advice me: - Whether I need to submit the Doctor's note of Medical Necessity for FSA approval? - If so, please suggest a doctor who can provide a Note of Medical Necessity. Thanks in advance for your help. |
