Recent research found a misaligned atlas vertebra can cause high blood pressure. The research was on 50 volunteers by a chiropractor who specialized in adjusting this one vertebra (NUCCA). NUCCA practitioners are few and far between - only one in my state, many miles away. As an alternative, I went to an Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractor (both are upper cervical specialties) who also adjusts the Atlas vertebra but with an instrument rather than his hands. Mine was misaligned and I had one adjustment. It appears to have lowered my blood pressure. It was totally painless! It's only been a week but the Atlas is still holding and I'll continue to see the Atlas practitioner for as long as I have these results. My health plan covers a part of chiropractic care.

I use Resperate every day and have had good results with it as well. The combination Resperate and Atlas adjustment may be the right combination if your Atlas vertebra is misaligned and you have high blood pressure. It's one more positive thing you can do for your heart.

I have had high B.P. since my teenage years and been on meds ever since. I'm now 62 - had one "small" stroke. Averaged B.P. in 130's and 140's - unless at M.D. when it was much much higher. This morning my B.P. was 120/68 (on meds).

Do the research yourself, as I did. Don't be convinced by what I say. I tell my experience only for what it may be worth. It's not an ad for chiropractic - it's simply a way to inform you that it's out there and it may work for you.
