I'm a new user from the UK and went through my first session today.
From past experience with starting self-help programmes of various sorts, I'm aware there is always a "honeymoon period" when everything seems new and exciting, but that after a while, possibly in response to relative lack of anticipated progress, boredom and inertia sets in, and the initial enthusiasm begins to wane, maybe leading to discontinuation. Don't get me wrong, I do plan to use your product sensibly and regularly and intend to try to vary the routine a bit, using different rooms in the house and maybe the garden [at least as far as our unpredictable British weather permits] and trying the melodies sequentially with each session. I'm aware results may take some time, possibly longer than the documented 3-4 weeks, and would welcome any suggestions, particularly by those of you who have been "at it" for a long time. |

Hi Chazza, I've been "at it" since Dec 2006! It's just part of my routine. I keep Resperate next to my bed. Part of my morning, before heading out, is a nice Resperate 15-minute guided meditation. I look forward to it. It's a little respite. Also, when you see that it's working for you, you will want to keep up your practice. You know you can also do it for 10 minutes at a time -- just make sure you do it at least 5 times a week. Angel |

It's important to fit it into your routine as if you can not go onto the next thing because you haven't completed your Resperate session yet! Another tip is to cut back to 10 minute sessions after a few months. As long as you use it 4-5 times a week, you'll meet the minimum requirement of 40 minutes per week.
Finally, stay close to our forum. We have people who have been "at it" for many years and they offer loads of tips & advice to newbies like you. You never know, one day you may be one of them too! Breathe Easy! Marguerite (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) |

I get the impression you really look forward to your sessions, also that you are encouraged by the progress you have made. Both of these are "positive reinforcers," to use the jargon. Maybe I am anticipating problems which will never arise. It seems very little effort to do a session at the moment, so I will try 2 sessions daily for present. Best wishes, Chazza. |

Breathe Easy! Marguerite (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) I get the point about routine. First thing in the morning is easy for me and I'd like to do evenings as well. I'll see how it goes for the moment. I want to make sure it doesn't displace other "healthy" activities" such as my [attempted] daily 1/2 hour on the exercise bike. Maybe a bit of "halo polishing" would be good for the upper body workout!!?? Chazza |
