I am convinced that Resperate will work, but I am also convinced I am not using it properly. I need to talk with someone who initially had problems with the breathing technique and did not achieve results until the proper technique was attained. I prefer to talk with someone who has actually experienced the problem firsthand, rather than with a support specialist

Norman,
Please keep in mind that many of our Customer Care reps actually use the RESPeRATE. Please be sure to call Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm EST @ 1-877-988-9388 or e-mail: support@resperate.com

I am a 'shallow' breather.

When the inhale tone begins, should I strive to maintain a shallow breath, or should I gradually inhale, even though the inhaling becomes deeper than what is normal for me?

I get the impression that it is the extended exhaling that ultimately produces the most significant effect. If I maintain my 'normal' shallow breathing (shallow inhaling) am I neglecting an aspect of 'deep breathing' that is necessary to achieve the reduction in BP I desire?

I have found myself, in an effort to maintain effortless breathing, taking in shallow breaths on the inhale tone, followed by extended, though minimal, exhaling.

Please advise!
