Hello,

I don't know where should I post this. Here goes, I am having problem with my resperate unit. It won't switch ON. I had a new set of batteries and theres nothing on the display when I press the on/off button. I have been using it since 2007 and no I didn't drop it on the floor or damage anything like that.

Just like any other day, right after I finish with my regular breathing exercise it switched off automatically and I store it away carefully. As you see I took very good care of it. Then the next day came and I tried switching it on. Nothing happens. Usually even if the battery is low it would at least let me use it for awhile before switching off. I tried with new batteries and still nothing on display. Nada

I bought this unit from Malaysia distributor for resperate at www.resperate.com.my and cost me around USD$500 just for a basic unit (almost double the price sold in the states). So I contacted the company and ask if they can help me to fix my unit. They said my warranty had expired and they can't do anything about it. I knew about that but I just need a FIX not a warranty claim and all I get was "no sir we can't fix it and these were the rules set by the US, we're sorry but theres nothing you can do about it unless of course you would consider getting a new unit".

What do you mean by you guys CAN'T do anything about it? I paid freakin $500 for this thing! and it's not cheap! I just wanted a fix, a simple repair! and don't tell me to buy a new unit. Sorry if I sounded agitated because I really am. I don't pay such amount of money to be told off without ANY kind of help??? Come on people....

I am so sorry... I don't mean to write an angry letter but I am really frustrated and I just don't what to do now. I had stopped my breathing exercise for 2 weeks already and my Blood pressure is shooting up like mad.

My unit serial # is 5420478 and the numbers inside the battery compartment is 996235300767

I really hope I can get any kind of help here, even some tips how I can troubleshoot myself I would deeply appreciate.

Tang

thanks for the encouragement marguerite. too bad resperate abandons their customer right off the bat when our warranty expires. I did what you told me to, emailed to support and whatever contact I could think of but still they couldnt care less to reply my plea. I have mail em numerous time since since March 14. Guess what?? non a single reply from them. NONE!

well I am trying to not be negative here but this is a real scenario for you guys out there thinking into buying from them. I am getting close to calling these guys scammers.

sincerely pissed off,

tang

Tang,
I will look into this e-mail issue, as we do respond to ALL e-mails within 24 hours. I am not sure where you've sent these e-mails. To avoid anymore going back & forth, I will be sending you a personal e-mail through the message board. We do not want your blood pressure to keep going back up. I will personally make sure that we resolve this miscommunication.
Breathe Easy!
