I've been using Resperate for two weeks now and have only just checked my BP which worryingly has increased quite a bit! Obviously this isn't the result I was expecting. I am very worried about this and would appreciate any advice as to why this has happened and how can I get it back to normal. My original BP was 147/90 which I know was too high but it has now raised to 168/100 and even higher! I did check it three times today and there wasn't much difference in any of the readings. Some advice would be very much appreciated as I don't want to give up on it. I would rather give up on my medication which is very debilitating and it would be great to eventually get off it.

WOWEE!! (this is my new word for the moment, haha) You guys are great and have been making great points and progress here.
A few things. Relaxation is key. This is one of the most important steps in the whole RESPeRATE experience. That is why the suggestion to use it in the evenings, before you go to sleep, is a good one. (personally, this is when I use mine)
Hideki mentioned calling the CS dept and wasn't quite satisfied with the response. The thing is, on average, we breathe between 12-18 BPM. What we see is that as soon as a person places that belt around their chest or tummy, they begin to take deeper than normal breaths. These breaths are registered as a lower than "normal" breathing rate and it makes you begin your session below 10 BPM.
Once again, this is one of the best support strings that I've read! All these tips are very useful to anyone! What I recommend is to do a few "dummy" sessions. Maybe do a 2 or 3 minute "dummy" session to "test" out a new tip before starting your actual session.
Above all...BREATHE EASY!
