Greetings,
I have just purchased and begun using the unit. I had also thought about having my wife, who suffers from frequent migraines (and low blood pressure), try using my unit to see if it would help her. However, I find that there is no way to let her use it without messing up my statistics and, of course, no provision for multiple users of the device. (IMG:http://forum.resperate.com/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I would strongly recommend a change to the design to allow for multiple users. Most of us have families but cannot afford to spend yet another $300 on the device to see whether it will help another family member. Without opening the box to look inside, I assume that the change involved - I am an old computer hardware man - would simply involve a larger FLASH memory and few changes to the program routines to accessing different memory pages by adding a start up menu. Each memory page could be assigned to a different person and the statistics shown would only cover the data stored on the current page - so each person would have their own statistics. If you find that you can't deliver this at a reasonable price then at least allow others to use the device without screwing up my statistics. That is truly a minor (firmware) change. At present, I can't allowing a demanding step child to try out my new TOY because it means the loss of all my statistics. Try explaining that to a child! (IMG:http://forum.resperate.com/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) All the best, Ralph |

Ralph,
What a great recomendation! We are always looking for new ideas and ways to improve the RESPeRATE. I have forwarded your comments to our product development & research group. Currently, if you would want your wife to use your RESPeRATE, you both would have to keep track manually of your sessions. (stats #12-18) Is there anyone else that would be interested in a resperate that would allow for mutliple users?????? Marguerite (IMG:http://forum.resperate.com/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) |

Please work on this project! I would also find it useful to have a weekly total shown - could there be a "clear" button added - this might help both problems with a user 1 and user 2 function. I'm glad to see that there are people out there who are interested in a device that could be used for more than one user. I will forward your suggestions to my research & developing team. Anyone else out there interested in a device designed for 2 users????

I do not own this product at this time. I just found this website thru Dr. Weil's newsletter. But I, too, would be interested in this being a two person unit. I also think it might be possibly helpful for those who suffer with ulcerative colitis. The colon is also a smooth muscle which could benefit from relaxation techniques.
Thank you, Suzie |

Suzie,
This is causing quite a buzz in our offices. Our research and development team is excited to see that there are yet more people who are interested in a RESPeRATE device could be used by 2 users. Perhaps in the near future it may be possible to see a RESPeRATE unit for 2 user! Marguerite (IMG:http://forum.resperate.com/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) |

I have just bought my Resperate and after having used it today for the first time realise that it would be better for my husband who suffers from HBP to have his own machine. Although too late for us cost wise (Australian $414 delivered) it would be a great consideration for future designs.
I will keep in touch to advise my progress - my BP can get to 220/110 on 200mg of Trandate/Labelatol per day (out of control). I'm really looking forward to getting this down. It has been great to be able to read other people's results. (IMG:http://forum.resperate.com/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Regards, Meredith, East Keilor, Australia |

Meredith,
Thank you for your recent purchase of the RESPeRATE. I believe that you made a wise choice. I'm sure that you'll be pleased with the results from using your RESPeRATE. Just be sure to use it according to the instructions and most importantly, please remain patient! Just like any excerise program, the results are gradual. You should begin to see your numbers come down and stay down between 3-4 weeks of proper use. As far as another device for your husband, I understand your conern. We are seeing a greater interest in a RESPeRATE device that can accomodate 2 users! This, however, should not prohibit your husband from using your device. The only thing with the current unit is that it only holds statistical data for one user. If you don't mind keeping track of your stats manually, I think it can be great for your husband as well! Good luck and keep us all posted with your results! Marguerite (IMG:http://forum.resperate.com/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) |

This is great suggesstion. I would like more people to use the instrument but I cannot let it mess up my records. I would appreciate if I can create 2-3 profiles as guest user. If somebody likes it he may buy a new instrument. Thanks

I just wanted to let you know that we now have a new DUO device that stores stats for 2 users. Thanks! Marguerite (IMG:http://forum.resperate.com/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) I have had a Resperate for several years now. Is there a way to upgrade this model to the new DUO model? Or is it possible to trade-in my old model for a new DUO model? Thanks. |

One of the questions I was going to ask prior to purchase was whether the device was designed for multiple users. Both my husband and I would want to use it.

We here at InterCure understand this which is why we have the RESPeRATE Duo. It is still one unit, but has a dual memory for 2 users! Please visit our website to view products: https://www.resperate.com/Store/ProductDetails.aspx
