I am trying to reduce my BP from its current at rest level (pulse about 70) of about 138/87 by a combination of diet exercise, supplemenation and resperate. For years I have excercised three times a week by cycling 5 miles and making sure I sweat in the process.
As soon as I git back from cycling today I took my BP three times and the average of the second and third readings was 118/74 with a pulse rate of 92. Previous postings are clear that BP rises with exercise but this does not seem to be true in my case. I am 54 years old. Does anyone else have similar symptoms or can they tell me what may be happening? |

It is normal and expected for blood pressure to be lower after you finish exercising. That is why it is recommended that you take your blood pressure readings before you exercise and not afterwards. Sometimes bp can be lowered a long time after exercise. |
