Hi,

My normal starting BPM is usually between 8,9 and 12, when I use Resp after showering the BPM can sometimes be as much as 17, Why is this.

When I initially starting using Resp back in March by BPM was 17 , like I said avaerage in now 9-12 on starting, I use it at least 4 times a week and do do 45 min of effective excercise if not more, but my BP does not seem to have lowered that much. When I first started my BP was approx 180-105, now the average is 160-95, sometimes lower. What else can I do to make it lower.

Also, do you have anywhere in the UK near London , or someone who can show me if I am using Resp correctly. Its all well and good having groups in the US etc but what about users in the UK.

Pls advise asap.

Cheers

Pram,
Just to start off with, the average person breathes at a rate of between 12-18 BPM. There are many factors that can affect your BPM and you shouldn't expect for your intitial breathing rate to be the same each time. As far as your BPM being at 17 after a shower, I have no scientific explanation for that. Perhaps it's as simple as the fact that you were simply moving.
Now, to your BP readings. That is an INCREDIBLE drop! That's a 20/10 BP pt drop, and that should not be taken lightly. In fact, it's a rather large reduction! IT appears that you are doing everything correctly. You are registering your minimum of 45 minutes of effective breathing a week and using the device properly. At this stage, I would recommend either just coninuing your regime or even increasing the effective time per week. Recent studies have shown that there is a dose response, so the more you use it the better the results.
There are no known RESPeRATE support groups in the UK. Perhaps it would be a good idea for you to start one! We have a large amount of RESPeRATE users in the UK, so I'm sure that you'd be able to find people there!
Good Luck and continued success!
Marguerite
