I've been using the resperate device for 3 weeks now, and I use it everyday for 20 minutes. I usually get immediate results after each use, my blood pressure goes down an average of 10 points on both scales, but it won't sustain that the next day.....my average blood pressure is very high, (150/95 and I'm taking medication that is not working, actually the resperate does lower it for a while, but doesn't sustain it....I have great blood quality, as cholesterol is not a problem for me at all, triglicerides are even better! I believe nt problem is job related stress, but can't be sure...
What suggestions can you make? |

Prior to leaving my job in middle mgt. in a high-tech field, my BP would be as high as 160/105 at the end of the day. The job was particularly stressful because mgt. above me and other factors. Sometime after work and during the weekends, my BP was generally lower--around 145/90--although it would drop to around 130/85 at times. Since my semi-retirement 3 years ago, my BP has dropped to around 125/80, and to around 110/70 when I am very relaxed. Previously, the "job stress" seemed to stay with me constantly. I plan to use Resperate to achieve BP of 110/70 or better the majority of the time. (IMG:http://forum.resperate.com/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

Sprimo,
I'm wondering how you're doing at this point in time? It generally takes 3-4 weeks to see a sustained reduction. I would encourage you to continue using your RESPeRATE as you have been. It is, however, a good sign if you are seeing a reduction immediately after a session. I can't tell you to leave your job, if you feel that is the cause of your high blood pressure, but I can tell you to continue using your RESPeRATE! I can offer you a tip that I use here at work. I personally can feel myself getting tensed up due to stress. What I do is push myself away from my desk, sit back and use my RESPeRATE for just 5 minutes! It's a 5 minute break that really makes a HUGE difference for me!
