Hi All,

I had one of the first models of Resperate but only used it for a while. A month ago I took my BP and decided it was time to break out the Resperate again. Unfortunately, it had a problem that new batteries would not fix. So now I've a brand new Ultra.
After a few weeks of use, I see that my average 'Initial Breathing Rate' is 7.2 and my 'Final Breathing Rate' is 4.8 and therefore I'm essentially always in the 'therapeutic breathing zone'. I wonder if this small reduction in my breathing rate will be as beneficial to me as it would be for someone who comes to the session with a much higher rate. What if your breathing rate, and pulse, is not all that fast on a normal basis? Will I still realize any significant improvement in BP, or is this device primarily useful to those with much higher breathing rates?
Thanks for any replies,

radio

radio,
It's just about being a slow breather, as many slow breathers also have High Blood Prssure. The resperate uses a unique breathing pattern of a shorter inhalation followed immediately by a prolonged exhalation.
You will still benefit from the use of Resperate.
Breathe Easy!
