can anhone tell me if the inhale should be a big deep breath or just a gentle inhale? I seem to be concentrating so hard on taking a deep enough breath to keep time with the tones that I think perhaps I am negating what resperate is trying to do. My diastolic pressure has come down to generally below 80 but systolic is high at 145+ Could too much effort inhaling be the problem?

Jude,
The inhale should not be a deep breath in, rather a smooth inhale, followed immediately by a prolonged exhale, then right back into a smooth inhale. It should all be a smooth & gradual transition between the inahale and prolonged exhale. It IS possible that you are putting too much effort no the inhale. It's hard to explain what you should not be doing, which is taking in a deep, sharp breath. Breathe Easy! Marguerite (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) |
