I've had my Resperate for 3 days now. I'm flirting with high blood pressure--140/90 at the doctor's office, occasionally as high as 140/85 at home if I'm feeling stressed, but usually more like 120/75. After my very first session with this device, my blood pressure was 95/69--amazingly low!

Anyway, the point of this post is to ask about aching lungs. Since I started using Resperate, I've been experiencing a slight ache in my lungs, similar to the feeling you get if you exert yourself on a very cold day and breathe in a lot of cold air. It's not a horrible feeling, and I can live with it quite happily if it's simply my lungs getting accustomed to the deeper breathing, the same way my muscles ache when I workout. But if it's an indication that I'm using the device wrong, that's a different matter.

Liz.

Liz,
As great as a reduction as that is, if you feel that you are uncomfortable after a session, is likely that you've put too much effort into that session! We won't know for sure unless you call our customer support dept and have someone go over your stats and ask you a few questions. It's important to keep in mind that it's not a competition to see how low of a breathing rate you can get to. Comfort is the most important thing!

Just thought I'd give a quick update. That aching lung sensation has eased after a week of using the device. My blood pressure is remaining below 120/70 every time I take it. Although I also made some dietary changes (I swear sugar, not salt, is my problem area!) I do credit Resperate with much of this improvement after only a week of use.

Liz,
That's wonderful to hear! All too often people are ready to quit at anything that is good for them! Keep up the good job & keep us posted on your progress!
