Hi folks. I'm just over 9 months now using Resperate. In the first 3 months I got to half my medication .... and was very pleased. Since then, I've been working hard trying to lower it enough to get totally off medication. Although I've tried at least once every month I continue to fail. I have two different medications pills once a day, taken at breakfast. A couple of days , I've forgotten my pills in the morning -- then later in the day will remember ... then take my BP. My blood pressure slowly rises through the day, I always end up taking my pills to bring it down.

This morning I had music, was bit late rushed off forgot to take my medication. I didn't think of it until now 9:00 PM. 12 hours after my medication. My BP running at 125/84. So, it didn't meet my goal - below 120/80 and doctor like to see it to 110/70. However, this getting closer I think it working. A year ago without medication for a day it would been running 160/100.

I've let my weight climb a bit during the winter .... so if I can work that off this summer, I might yet make my goal. I'm about 15 pounds over ideal weight -- up about 5 pounds over the winter. If I could lose that 15 pounds it might be enough. Also, I probably should up my resperate time. I had started at 15 minutes a day, but I've dropped back to two 5 minute resperate sessions a day.

Interested to hear experiences of any other long term users out there.

To start off, to have any of your medications reduced is amazing in itself. I like to work with baby-steps. It took you all winter to gain 5 pounds, so give yourself one month to lose those 5 pounds. Keep up with your RESPeRATE, but I would recommend doing 10 minute sessions. The 5 minute sessions may not be enough.
Above all, Breathe Easy!
